What We Do

Guiding Light Housing LLC was founded by Ree, a St. Louis–based housing provider and landlord with a lifelong heart for service and community impact.

Some of Ree’s fondest memories come from childhood, giving back alongside her mother. From an early age, her mother instilled strong principles and values rooted in compassion, integrity, and responsibility. Those lessons never left. Today, Ree is proud to see those same values reflected in her daughter, who carries the same heart and compassion and is always asking how she can give back to the community. Together, they continue a legacy centered on being a source of light and care for others.

While annual traditions of giving back have always been meaningful, Ree recognized that the need for safe and stable housing is ongoing. Guiding Light Housing was created to meet that consistent need in a more intentional and impactful way.

This program is a shared housing and independent living model designed to provide stable, affordable rooms in a supervised residential setting. It serves individuals transitioning out of homelessness, housing instability, or other transitional programs, particularly those who benefit from safe housing paired with light structure, routine check-ins, and connections to community-based resources.

The goal of Guiding Light Housing is to create a housing option that is both sustainable and responsive to real community needs, while working collaboratively with agencies already serving this population. As the program continues to develop, Ree welcomes connections with like-minded individuals and organizations who share a passion for housing stability, dignity, and being a consistent source of light within the community.
